Drilling and hand digging are the original Patriot General service. The published underground list adds pole-hole digging, rock excavation, trenching, pier foundations, and the spoil, water, and haul that keep a trench moving.
TL6975, SDG&E HATS, and Tie Line 616 are the transmission jobs on this site that show that practice: drilled piers and micropiles, hand-dug piers in terrain that had to be reached by helicopter, and direct-bury holes in Rancho Bernardo.
