Circle of Safety
Four steps on every work vehicle: park it, gear up, walk around it, write the day down.
Patriot General launched Circle of Safety with the 7 February 2025 stand-down at the Lakeside VFW. The company said each work vehicle would get a reminder decal. The program has four parts.
Park it: set the brake, turn the wheels to the curb, chock the wheels, and cone the vehicle. Gear up: hard hat, high-visibility clothing, gloves, hearing protection, and eye protection. Walk it: confirm the parking spot, keep the vehicle out of dry vegetation, and do a full walk-around before it moves. Write it: complete the tailboard, keep a trip sheet, and run the safety checklist.
